One of life’s biggest challenges is being unemployed or underemployed and seeking new opportunities. Every day, people enter our offices across the GTA to receive the support, coaching and connections that are vital for success in today’s labour market.

We help more than 15,000 people annually to stay focused and positive. We provide them with the right tools so that they stand out from the competition. With ACCES by their side, they are able to secure employment at an accelerated pace.

Create a Diverse Workplace

Through your support, you will be joining ACCES in our movement towards diverse workplaces where skills are valued, international credentials are recognized, pay is equitable and discrimination is non-existent.

More financial resources ensure that our voice grows stronger as we reach out to employers showcasing the talent, dedication and enthusiasm of our candidates. Together, we can change the following statistics:

  • New Canadians with a university degree are earning 50% less then Canadian-born people with a university degree.
  • Unrecognized professional credentials and international experience are typically the most critical hurdles for new Canadians to finding jobs.
  • New Canadians have higher levels of education on average than their Canadian-born counterparts but their unemployment rates are significantly higher, according to Statistics Canada.
  • Job applicants with English-sounding names on their resumes are 40% more likely to be called for an interview than those with Chinese, Indian or Pakistani names, according to a University of British Columbia study.

By making a donation and/or volunteering your time, you will be investing in comprehensive services that help people find the best employment opportunities. You will be changing Canada, one person at a time and creating a multicultural society that we can all proudly call home.

ACCES receives donations through CanadaHelps.org which is a not-for-profit charity portal that serves as an information resource about charities in Canada and seeks to promote and facilitate philanthropy through online giving.
